Its a great game created by Insomniac Games (IG). Its about ass kicking lombax with a robot partner named Clank. They go through the Galaxies (depending on their coordinates) and save them from whatever evil that lurks there. The best R&C games are:
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal
Going Commando (GC) has a great story. Its one of IG's best ones yet IMO. It has spaceship battles (unlike the other series), More variety of weapons, a good story-line, etc. So I recommend you to buy this one first ;)
Up Your Arsenal is the 2 best game. Its also has a great story-line and weapons (pretty much the same as GC). The only thing I don't like about it is Sasha. But thats not important right now. So i give this game the second choice to buy ;) (I'm not a good essay writer  ) |

Sounds cool. You should tell us more about the story behind the game. |

Perhaps you have heard of ratchet deadlocked? If not, then please let me tell you about it.
I believe that it is the fourth game in the RAC series. The storyline is like this: While Ratchet, Clank, and Al the mechanic, were aboard the starship phoenix, they get a call from the new president, Sasha. She tells them about the facility known as "DreadZone". She also tells them about heroes being imprisoned and fighting for their lives in order to escape the facility. DreadZone is run by a ruthless billionaire named "Gleeman Vox". Before she could tell them more about DreadZone there was a breach in the starship that jammed the communication screen, and wouldn't you know it, it just happened to be DreadZone bots looking for Ratchet. He was kidnapped and placed into dreadzone with new set of armor. He was also fastened with a deadlock collar hence the meaning "Deadlocked", if he was to do anything suspicious or go against "Vox" by any chance, he would either endure a painful shock or rendered dead by that collar. As he completes the trials and missions for dreadzones entertainment, both Clank and Al plot a way to escape and take off the Deadlock collars. Also having to rescue the heroes, things won't be going down so easily nor will this be an easy task for Ratchet nor his friends to complete.
Well that's it about the storyline. I won't tell you more about that. But I will tell you about the specials in that game.
-There are side missions for you to complete in order to attain skill points.
-You can select any mission as many times as you like.
-You can also select any difficulty when you start a new game. (Note: Exterminator mode has to be earned by completing the game at least once.)
-Instead of playing with clank, you recieve two robot assistants named Merc and Green. They have their own separate upgrades you can purchase for them.
- Weapon levels go up to 99 after buying the mega version of a certain weapon. (Note: The weapon must be at level 10 before you can recieve opportunity to purchase.)
- A brand new ultimate weapon: The Harbinger this even exceeds the RYNO in strength and effects. It's truly amazing and worth every bolt. Costs 3,000,000 to unlock.
and that's pretty much all I can say about ratchet deadlocked. now if only I had a PSP and their newest game "Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters", I could write a review about that too. |

Oh God! Not another Deadlocked fan! =O
Anyways.... Yes I've heard of Deadlocked, and I even own the game itself. I've played all the PS2 series that Insomniac Games have ever made.

BTW Earthling, just because I know alot about the video games it doesn't mean that I am a fan. I just means that I like to attain knowledge about games as I play them. I just wanted to point that out. One more thing, you spelled the wrong word "there" and it should be "their". |

And who cares?
Anyways, I know you know a lot about games, I was just saying since Deadlocked was the worst Ratchet and Clank game, and hardly anyone plays it. Get where I'm going at? |

Who knows? Maybe, maybe not. And what exactly makes you so sure that Deadlocked is the worst of the series? Personally I think that merc and green are very good assistants. Not to mention that all the special weapon features are also really cool. Want me to give you some examples? No? Well I am doing it anyway. Well there's Time Bomb MOD which is attached to every piece of ammunation of the certain weapon. When shot at an enemy, it explodes either dealing major damange or killing the enemy two seconds later. Napalm MOD which can be attached to every ammunition of a certain weapon. When it hits an enemy, it bursts into a pool of lava. Nice. Acid MOD is like poison to robots and other enemies, Shock MOD which should be self explanatory. There are others, but I won't be waisting you precious time while you read this post. Also. I like the co-op two player mode which allows you to level up your weapons faster not to mention it gives a challenge because if your characters are too far from each other then you have 9-10 seconds to reunite before the deadlock collars explode. In other words after making another detailed description, I don't see why you think that this game is the worst game of the series. Can you name one ratchet and clank game which allows you to level your wepons to level 99 and/or customize you weapon MODs? Please let me know. |

Oh come on, even you should know that ratings doesn't tell everything. in time the best answer is the one you find on your own. Ratings don't tell me anything except other people's opinions and you accepting those ratings just means that you accept those opinions without question. Right or wrong? |

ratao wrote: Ratings don't tell me anything except other people's opinions and you accepting those ratings just means that you accept those opinions without question. Right or wrong?
Wrong. There are plenty of things that we accept to be true based on trusting another person's experience without doing it. When was the last time you ran a red light or jumped in front of a moving car or stuck your wet finger in an electrical socket?
You wear clothes. You use pencils and paper and electrical lights.
Why? Because you accepted someone else's opinion. You haven't been hit by a car, so how do you measure whether it's good or bad? Everyone that has been hit by a car hasn't died or been hurt, you know. What about running a red light? Not everyone who has done it has gotten into a car wreck or gone to jail. Why not do drugs for that matter? Not everyone who does them has died.
Not saying I want you to do that, but saying that ratings should just be completely ignored is just as foolish as saying that they are the "be-all-end-all" of worldwide video game experience.
Think about that.

Earthy wrote: Look at the ratings...
To Ratao's defense, I have to say that a lot of good, solid games go underrated for varying reasons and that a lot of games over the years have slipped through the cracks because of it.
For example, Final Fantasy Tactics is an awesome game in its own right even though it's not a part of the FF main storyline per se. It doesn't get many reviews or major publicity or limelight, but it's an awesome game offering hours of entertainment and a nice, beefy storyline.
Some games don't get good ratings because although they have an awesome storyline, they aren't graphically appealing. Some because the game reviewers don't like the character voices. There have been plenty of games (songs, anime, tv shows, sports, websites) that I find highly entertaining and enjoyable that people say a lot of people don't like.
Example:
I like "Mmm Bop" by Hanson. You can't understand a lot of words, but it's a nice happy song. No one I know likes that song. Or the Spice Girls (I like some of their stuff for the same reason, upbeat and happy although devoid of sense or meaningat times). The experience of the gamer is your experience, too. Explore some unpopular titles every now and again and you might surprise yourself.
I have. |

| Ok I thought about it, and when you put it that way, Earthling2 was correct in his statement after all. However, I still have my opinion and Earthling2 still has his. I wish to let bygones be bygones due to the last amounts of posts made here. |

By no means! I like long posts and thoughtful discussions. I just want them to be "above the belt", too. My issue here isn't your opinions; you have them, I have them, he has them, we have them. It's just that I want all the opinions we share to be read with and responded to with respect.
Keep posting boys. This is interesting.
While I am thinking about it, only quote the part of the thread you are responding to as opposed to the whole thread. I noticed that in some posts and I don't want to read the first post and every reply to it three million times. Follow my examples on this thread, please. |
